Процесс печати
Печать происходит на специализированных струйных принтерах. Макет с любым изображением из стандартных печатных программ отправляется на принтер стандартным образом. На вакуумный стол принтера укладывается лист анодированного алюминия с открытыми порами. Печатная голова принтера двигаясь над металлом точно наносит чернила на металл согласно необходимому рисунку, чернила впитываются в открытые поры оксидного слоя алюминия. Сразу после извлечения листа из принтера можно переходить к этапу закрепления изображения (варки листа в термованне).

Анодированный алюминий для цифровой металлографики имеет поверхностный пористый слой. На анодированном алюминии, предназначенном для окрашивания, поры являются открытыми, то есть восприимчивыми к впитыванию красителей. Анодирование - гальванический процесс, в результате которого на поверхности алюминия образуется устойчивый гидроксидный слой. Классическая технология анодирования подразумевает одноцветное окрашивание всей поверхности детали в массе с последующим закреплением в неразрывном процессе. В технологии металлографики Gedajet данный процесс разнесен на этапы. Металл для печати в процессе анодирования не проходит финишную стадию уплотнения (закрепления), благодаря чему на поверхности образуется прозрачная пористая оксидная пленка. Финишный процесс (закрепление) производится после этапа печати.
Толщина оксидного слоя на пластинах GEDACOLOR - 18-30 микрон. Более тонкая толщина анодной пленки отрицательно сказывается на качестве получаемых изображений. Сам анодированный алюминий для печати представлен в различных толщинах, от 0,1 мм до 3 мм. Самыми популярными являются толщины 0,5 и 1 мм.
Закрепление запечатанных листов
Закрепление (уплотнение, варка) - процесс, в течение которого анодированный оксидный слой превращается в гидроксид алюминия. При этом поры закрываются, и чернила, попавшие в поры на этапе печати, изолируется от внешней среды и становится недоступным для растворителей и других химических реагентов. Правильно анодированный и закрепленный оксидный слой является очень устойчивым к истиранию и атмосферным воздействиям.
Процесс закрепления происходит в подогретом растворе катализирующей соли в специальной емкости (термованне). Для получения качественного гидроксидного покрытия необходимое время варки составляет 40-60 минут. Параллельно в термованне могут находится много листов, причем каждый может быть погружен туда в разное время.
Конечным результатом данной технологии является окрашивание верхнего слоя металла в массе. Сама финишная гидроксидная пленка обладает высокой твердостью (большей, чем у самого алюминия) и устойчивостью к большому количеству химических воздействий.
Постобработка:
Полученные готовые пластины можно подвергать различной механической обработке: резка на гильотинных резаках, фрезеровка или лазерная резка, сверление и т. д.
